Planning A Conference? Apply for PNPG Speaker Stipends!

PNPG announces the availability of Speaker Stipend Awards for Winter/Spring 2010-11.  Awarded funds may be applied to travel expenses and/or speaker honorariums.

Applications for the Winter/Spring Awards must be received by the October 15, 2010 for events scheduled between December 1, 2010 and May 31, 2011.  Award announcements for the Spring deadline will be mailed by November 15, 2010.

The purpose of the Speaker Stipend Progam is:

• To promote the presentation of topics in pediatric nutrition at professsional workshops, conferences and seminars throughout the United States.
• To provide financial support to organizations for qualified health professionals to present topices in pediatric nutrition at professional meetings.
• To support pediatric nutrition education opportunities for PNPG members at the regional level.

To apply:

Submit an application to the PNPG Scholarship Chair. Include the following information:

• program sponsors;
• date and location of the program;
• program objectives;
• program planning comittee members;
• target audience and anticipated attendance:
• proposed speaker and the topic the speaker is to address;
• speak resume;
• proposed budget for the conference/event and itemized budget for the speaker for which the award is requested;
• and status of ADA continued education approval.

Programs that are awarded PNPG Speaker Stipends are required:

• to notifiy the PNPG Treasurer of the name, address, and social security number or tax identification number of the individual or organization to receive the award check;
• to acknowledge PNPG sponsorship in the event brochures, advertisements and/or program booklets;
• to inform speakers of suport by PNPG;
• and to submit to the PNPG Scholarship Co-Chair, within one (1) month after the event, a short summary of the event including the attendance and the evaluation of the supported speaker.

Deadline

Applications must be postmarked by October 15, 2010. Submit completed applications via electronically or by mail to the Administrative Assistant below:
