We are in the process of gathering article submissions for our Spring Diabetes, Wellness, and Weight Management Newsletter, and would love to have your contributions! Articles can by any topic regarding pediatric diabetes, wellness, and/or weight management, and authors can be anyone from an RD, to a NP, MD, etc. If you are interested, or know anyone that is, you can email Dana Vieselmeyer at dmvies@gmail.com. We would love to hear what topics you would like to be included as well. Deadline for artcile submission is March 31rst.

- Congress proclaimed September as the first National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month.  Childhood Obesity Awareness Month is being commemorated in September in large part because it is the month when most children return to school.

-Urge the Senate to pass food safety legislation that would expand the authority of the Food and Drug Administration to regulate and recall foods.  The legislation represent the largest change in the country's food safety laws in more than 70 years.
