Pediatric Renal Nutrition Academy (PRNA) is a clinical skill development focused program for pediatric renal dietitians or other clinicians. The two-day course is split into Introductory level (Day 1) and Intermediate-advanced level (Day 2). Participants have a choice of registering for each day separately or for both.

Introductory level day course (Day 1):
The objective of the introductory day course is to provide comprehensive competency in the basics of pediatric renal nutrition care. Topic highlights include resource access, growth, weight and biochemical management; basics of formula mixing and/or oral nutrition for the infant and toddler, and pre- and post-transplant nutrition.

Intermediate-advanced level day course (Day 2):
The intermediate-advanced level day course is aimed at enhancing the clinical skills of the experienced pediatric renal dietitian and includes advanced topics such as applying research in clinical practice, anthropometry, acute clinical management, malnutrition, enteral nutrition management and advances in nutrition for other kidney diseases.

Program format includes lectures, case studies, group discussion with interactive problem-solving and lunch with the expert. The program provides an excellent opportunity for peer-to-peer education, networking, and sharing best practice to improve patient care.
