Who We Are
The Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group (PNPG) is a dietetic practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Academy). We are an active group of more than 2500 practitioners who provide nutrition services for the pediatric population in a wide variety of settings.
Our members include registered dietitians (RDs), dietetic technicians, registered (DTRs), and other Academy members who recognize the vital role of good nutrition in the growth and development of infants, children and adolescents. PNPG activities focus on education, research, networking, and service.
Mission
Leading the future of pediatric nutrition through education, research, service, and policy/advocacy.
Vision
PNPG members are leaders in promoting optimal nutritional health of infants, children, and adolescents.

- Foster the development of future leaders in the field of pediatric nutrition
- Collaborate by engaging in open dialogue, cooperation, and the sharing of knowledge
- Advocate for infants, children, and adolescents and their families/caregivers on issues affecting nutritional health
- Practice inclusivity by respecting the diverse backgrounds, differences, and points of view of others
Strategic Plan
To Join
DPG dues are paid annually, along with Academy membership dues. Academy members may join a DPG almost any time during the year by paying appropriate dues. (The last day in February is the end of the period to join a DPG for the membership year ending May 31.) Dues vary depending on the DPG.
